Laverne Frith is a widely published, award-winning poet and a nationally published reviewer of literary journals and magazines. Laverne is on the reviewer panel of the New York Journal of Books.
He is the proprietor of Frith Press and co-editor of Ekphrasis, the premier poetry journal of ekphrastic poetry and grantor of the Ekphrasis Prize.
He conducts poetry workshops on various topics, including the writing of lyric poetry, French forms, and short poetry forms, as well as special workshops on readying chapbook and other manuscripts for the competitive marketplace.

Living in the West Magazine
For nineteen years, Laverne was monthly poetry columnist for a widely circulated Northern California publication, Living in the West/Senior Magazine--until it suspended publication. His columns addressed a wide variety of poetry subjects, providing encouragement to a diverse audience for the appreciation of poetry, as well as furnishing guidance on poetry-writing subjects and techniques.
